Summer Leadership Forum
August 16-17, 2018 • Sheraton Station Square, Pittsburgh, PA
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and The Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) is being implemented with a new and different changing administration at the United States Department of Education (USDE). How is this administration currently implementing and regulating ESSA and what changes will be in the future?
The Pennsylvania Association of Federal Program Coordinators (PAFPC) in a cooperative effort with the Division of Federal Programs (DFP), Pennsylvania Department of Education is planning a 2018 Summer Leadership Forum (SLF) in conjunction with the prestigious law firm of Brustein and Manasevit. Washington, D.C. Attorneys, Tiffany Kesslar and Leigh Manasevit will be presenters. Susan McCrone, Chief of Federal Programs, will participate.
This Summer Leadership Forum (SLF) is a concentrated day and a half review of the current implementation of ESSA and UGG. ESSA’s fiscal and programmatic changes and timelines will be reviewed and discussed. The fiscal ramifications of UGG and circular’s changes, additions, deletions, internal controls, policies, procedures, risk assessment, etc. will be explained. More important, the thrust of the USDE will be discussed as it relates to ESSA and UGG. This 2018 Summer Leadership Forum will make you current on the programmatic and fiscal requirements that you deal with every day in your work with Title I and other federal programs. The SLF will clarify your confusion, reduce your tension and bring you up-to-date.
