The 2012 PAFPC Annual Conference was an overall success according to the evaluation results. The Division of Federal Programs (DFP) staff offered the compliance topics as required by legislation. The sessions and the individual counseling sessions were well received. Comments again indicated some of the sessions were too crowded and that some sessions were not offered a sufficient number of times. The general sessions were well attended except the Tuesday evening banquet. As a result, the PAFPC Conference Committee determined that the Tuesday banquet should be eliminate
Comments about the Hershey Resort were generally positive. Unfortunately, the hotel was unavailable for 2013 and 2014.
The Westin in Pittsburgh was selected for the 2013 PAFPC Annual Conference. The Omni William Penn will be the alternative hotel. Both hotels are located in a vibrant part of the city. As was discussed at the closing session of the conference at Hershey, available hotels are limited because the announcement of the state testing determines when PAFPC can contract with a hotel.
The conference links are currently operational. In the meantime, the Photo Gallery, Compliance Topics, Sponsors, and the 2012 Program will continue to be posted to reflect the past and give you an idea of the future. A major addition to the 2013 Annual Conference will be the Audit and Fiscal Compliance Strand. Accountants attending the Annual Conference will be awarded CPE Credits for attending selected sessions.
